From a small extension to your home to a bespoke housing estate: at MWS Design in Market Harborough the planning and support of your building project is always in the right hands.
What sets us apart
We give the same attention to every project large or small. Our service is always tailored to your requirements and we will give you an honest appraisal of your project and the likely costs and timescales involved.
Over recent years there have been many changes to Planning and Building Regulations and these can seem daunting. We use our first hand knowledge of Local Planning Policies to find the right strategy to steer your project to a successful outcome.
We have over 30 years experience negotiating with Local Authorities and working with Building Control in the East Midlands.
What we offer
You may need ideas of how to create extra space within your home or sketches of your dream house - we are happy to talk to you and our initial consultation is free.
We will visit you to discuss your project and talk you through the stages and costs involved in gaining the relevant approvals and managing the build. We will then provide you with a full written quote detailing both our fees and any Local Authority fees.
For most domestic projects our service will include making a survey of your existing property so we can draw up plans for your scheme. Once they are on paper we can make any changes you require ready for submission for Planning or Building Regulations. When we have finalised the plans we will make the application and deal with any enquiries which the local Authority may have. You will be kept informed of the progress of your application.
The processes involved in creating a new home - be it barn conversion or complete new build - have become more complicated over recent years and we can advise you of the information that will need to be provided with the planning application. We work with local professionals who can produce any necessary information such as topographic or ecology surveys which may be required and can seek pre-application advice from the Local Authority. Our aim is to produce a scheme which will gain approval.
